Way bummer

I had an excellent plan.  My friend Ed was visiting his dad in Richmond Beach.  He told me about a store he has liked for years and years so I left a message on his cell phone saying that I would walk to that store and meet him probably around 6:30 AM if he got the message in time.  Long story short, I arrived at the store this morning and, there was Ed!  Woo Hoo!  We set off around the streets of Richmond beach, Ed showing me where his grandparents used to live, where the high school his mother went to used to be, where their favorite party place was on the beach.  And so on.

I took photos of us standing in front of the store and of where the high school used to be and of a slow moving double stack train working it's way north along the shore line.  Wonderful.

When I got back home I downloaded the images into a new folder for the month of February and lost them all!  Damn, I hate it when that happens!  But trust me, I will do it all again only, next time, sans Ed.  Unfortunately.

  1. You are far more talented than I, but might I suggest that the problem might lie with that instruction book that came with the new camera, coupled with the familiarity of where everything was on the old one? I am far older than you (by about five months) but I have taken to reading the book cover-to-cover even when it is for what seems like an exact replacement item. They move things around just enough to get me into trouble!
