Around the "block" observations!

I knocked off 4.3 miles this morning and this is what caught my eye.

I have walked past this park construction before but this was the first time I noticed they are having, a name this park, contest!

Reminds me of the time there was a contest to name a coliseum in Omaha, Nebraska.  The winning name?
Nebraska spelled backwards!!

This name I would have expected somewhere in New Mexico, not the Shoreline/Woodway area.  Well, maybe Woodway!

Nice ad!

Neighbors working together!

Cargo heading out of Seattle.

  1. I like the idea of using the name Nebraska bakwards, but Krap will probably not be a winner for the Park people.

  2. I am fascinated by the numbering of your streets. I suppose it saves the sorts of arguments we get sometimes when local councils try to name streets after certain people.

Here I find it crazy when they name an estate Orchard Park when the orchard was bulldozed to make way for the houses.

Trying to work out the large numbers on the post boxes - I assume 10523 is house 23 on 105th Street?

  3. So, Shoreline speeled backwards is Enilerohs, but I personally like Yawdoow better (that's Woodway spelled backwards). Well, that's all the suggestions I have here in Nilbud. :)

  4. Yes, Ramblin Bob, Krap probably wouldn't do. But thanks for the thought!

John, the street names are left from the days of, street names. The newer system is numbered out from a central point in the County in quadrants, NW, NE, SE and SW. Streets east and west and Avenues north and south.

    I think!

Yo sis, I hope all is well in Nilbud!
