My turn

Yesterday was my turn to wait and wonder.  Last month the VA in San Francisco noticed a spot on my thyroid.  Since I am now in Seattle the Seattle VA  (above photo) did a biopsy.

I asked for and had released to me this ultrasound image of the "area of interest".  They took six wee samples using very fine needles.  Beats me what we are looking at or what the colors mean but I will find out in a week or so.

The VA has been very good to me.  I couldn't wait to get out of the Navy after four years of service but now, forty five years later, I am very glad I joined up to see the world.

By the way, I walked four miles this morning feeling just fine.

  1. I don't know what I'm seeing either. I hope it's just a benign blip.

  2. Keep us posted, Ron. Yes, a goofy hiccup on the imager would be good.

  3. That's brave to post the image without knowing what it means. I'm praying whatever it is -- it's treatable, manageable -- no biggie. With your stamina and health you're in a good negotiating position.
