The good ol' days!

A steam engine pulling a mail car and passenger cars over the Pudding Creek Trestle!
Not something you see every day!

Unless you visit the model train layout at the Botanical Gardens!

Various aspects of railroading in Mendocino County are recreated in G scale.

Logging camps with worker cabins like Roger and I saw......

All constructed and operated by a nice bunch of folks.
The layout is outdoors and solar powered!
It is well worth a visit along with the rest of the Gardens.

  1. Playing trains is cool, and in a botanic garden - that's ultra-cool.
I have the Hornby clockwork trainset I had when I was five years old and (46 years later) still run it around the living room from time to time.
