Taking a break for History

I woke to a light but wetting rain and decided to let "bed gravity" win this round. Later, checking various webpages I noted that Larry of Wandering Around Kansas put rain to good use.

But in my effort to stay dry and warm I decided to dig in the archives for some old time photos of Fort Bragg.

This bank, which survived the 1906 earthquate, is now Rewood Investments. You can see just the southern side of what is now the Guest House Museum on the right.

I believe this is looking north on Franklin with the Old Coast Hotel on the northwest corner of Redwood Avenue.

The caption I have for this photo is "The last logging train from 10 Mile" going over the Pudding Creek Trestle. 1947?
