A mixed bag this morning.

Our cool summer continues while inland has a heatwave. Seattle too, according to my brother.

I happened upon this Stone Cold Killer along Harold Street. I wonder what the victum was.

I'm happy to see this Citroen 2CV back in town. I'm not sure what year it is but here is the 1978 version from Wikipedia. If this one is that old it sure is in good shape.

Not much of a sign announcing.....

a whole lot of building! This building is left over from the heyday of radio and this was thee AM station on the coast! Now it just sits there, unattended and automated.

A couple boys watching me walk by. Of course I was entertaining them with odd clicks, clucks and soft whistles to hold their attention!!

  2. That cat looks like something out of a Stephen King thriller.

Sure wish we had some of your nice weather up here in the Sierra Nevada.

Those were great picures from the Yolla Bolly and the Skunk Train hikes.

  3. Ouch! I hope that's not the kitty's blood.

  5. Today was appaarently lone tree day amongst the prime bloggers (me & thee), though we could use your fog to cool the world down, as our monsoon weather has become iffy.

  6. Great stuff as usual, Ron. We have a French bakery in town that uses a deux chevaux truck just like this for deliveries and as moving advertising.

With regard to the cat, a little well-known Tennyson:
Who trusted God was love indeed
    And love Creation's final law
Tho' Nature, red in tooth and claw
With raving, shriek'd against his creed

Did you by any chance notice the cat raving?

Finally, I really envy you your trip in the Yolla Bolly. Super.
