7:07 AM

Sunshine cleared the coastal hills at 7:07 AM, seventeen minutes later than it did August 27th.
I can see no evidence of any demolition since I took the August photo.

An interesting composition of incoming and outgoing. A big semi delivery truck with the graphic on the side parked beside a pile of items heading for the dump!

Ah! The old soft shoe!

And another addition for my shopping cart photo collection.

All in all a nice morning walk of four miles.

As I mentioned in the previous blog, I drove to Reno, Nevada and attended the 44th Annual Reno Air Races.

It was a wonderful show containing the best of times and the worst of times; yes, three pilots were killed in four days but, if you stop and think about it, each one took off with a thumbs up and a huge grin. Most of us will not enjoy such a happy and quick ending.

If you are interested, here are some photos my son and I took at the Reno Air Races.

  1. Hi Ron!
Great blog and I missed the Air Races this year. I see the Rare Bear was in attendance, how'd it do? Roadcow is headding to Wendover this weekend for the World finals on the salt. My buddies are going to attempt a record for the Stock 36 hp powered Vw Bug class ( currently 94 mph) in 2009 so this is research. The old bus refuses to die.
