Ronnie's 71st Adventure Day 2

Up and at 'em.  Three other guys are taking off with us into an overcast sky.  It seems everyone is heading to Oshkosh for AirVenture 2012!

Mammantus clouds and a few rain squalls which, when flown through, surprisingly cause pretty lumpy riding!

The Yellowstone River below and clear weather ahead.

 Erosional feature!

A pit stop for gas and then, on to Oshkosh, WI.

Minnesota, the land of lakes.  There has been a lot of haze in the skies from the fires in Colorado.

 Happy Campers!

We had planned to land at an airfield near Oshkosh and fly in Saturday morning but we made such good time across the country plus, listening to the air traffic at Oshkosh, it sounded like we might as well head on in.  We follow the railroad from Ripon to Fisk, we "waggle" our wings for the ground spotter and are directed to land on the orange dot!!

Follow the "Follow Me" golf cart to the Home Built Camping area, tie down the plane and set up the tent!
Yippee!  We be here!!
