Thanksgiving Day Walk

A beautiful day for a walk. Crossing over the Pudding Creek Trestle my eye caught the pattern of footprints in the sand.
A coastal visitor contemplating?

An American Kestrel enjoying Thanksgiving lunch.

I don't know my ducks and mud hens.

A rock picker.

Seals in the sun.

Heading home on the Haul Road.

  1. Hi! The ducks are a male and female Mallard. When in doubt Mallard is always a safe bet. The males are distinctive but the females are not and people are always trying to make them out to be something more exotic. The bird in front is a coot as in "that crazy old coot!" (I'm sure you've never heard that one! :)
